To understand and evaluate the feasibility of using the capabilities inherent in electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) to act as a submeter for utility billing purposes.
This pilot recruited 20 residential customers who had also participated in the Electric Vehicle Charger and Installation Rebate Program. For the commercial and industrial sector three customers were obtained providing ten EVSE charger locations.

This pilot assessed the accuracy of EVSE charger equipment to act as a billing-grade energy-use data source for ComEd.
